Position Description
Welds metal components together with robotic welding equipment by performing the following duties.

Job Responsibilities

• Operates robot weld machine to weld metal parts together. May also perform the duties of a MIG Welder. Advanced duties include programming of the robot, maintenance, and fixture recommendations.

• Positions and clamps together components of fabricated metal products using various weld fixtures.

• Evaluates and inspects finished parts for quality and accuracy. Makes fixture changes when necessary.

• Performs related tasks such as drilling, and grinding.

• Repairs broken or cracked parts, fills holes, and increases size of metal parts.

• Completes all work to required print specifications and quality standards.

• Maintains work area according to 5S standards and completes all required paperwork correctly.

Job Skills Requirements

• Basic reading, writing and math skills. Working knowledge of blueprint reading preferred.

• Fluent in English and primary language used in area of responsibility.
